Self-Care Suite
Overview
Providing tools and methods to manage your wellbeing through a strategic self-care programme. When was the last time you honestly answered the question ‘How are you’ And not just passed it off with a quick remark, but actually allowed yourself to answer the question. Maybe even only to yourself? Our intention over the course of this program is to take a holistic look at this question of ‘How are you’
We aim to provide practicals that will give an insight into managing your mental wellbeing, your physical wellbeing and your emotional wellbeing. Each practical will be accompanied by an associated talk to give you the tools and understanding of how to better utilise yourself to create a more balanced and fulfilling life.
How are You?
Practical – Yoga at your desk – this isn’t exercise or yoga as you know it (if you know it); instead the focus is on building awareness of how you are feeling right now using movement and breathing to help you to feel good in body and mind.
Talk – ‘How are you’ – A talk designed to understand the necessity of self-care, identify the risks of burnout, and remedies for it, and also provide tools to develop a clear picture of how your overall life is and where this can be improved.
How do you ‘mind’ yourself?
Practical – Focus – tips and tools to improve your focus through breathing exercises and meditation techniques. When the mind is calm, you can think more clearly and focus on what needs to be done.
Talk – ‘Motivation to get you going’ – Understanding the challenges of motivation, how to build it and how to bring it back when it’s gone, as well as a little banging on the table to ‘get you going’.
How are you physically?
Practical – Mind Gym – practical movements designed to focus the mind and bring both sides of the brain back into balance.
Talk – ‘Nutrition’ – Breaking down the myths around nutrition: a fun, practical and interactive discussion around nutrition, designed to educate, and critically how to be conscious about what you put into your body.
Design your future
Practical – ‘Tapping’ – designed to regulate your energy within your body, a more physical way of meditating and breathing for those where sitting still can be a challenge, including a tapping technique to calm your energy in your head and body.
Talk – ‘Habits – take charge of who you want to become’ – We unconsciously control our lives through habits. This talk will enable you to identify the habits that are holding you back, provide a system to amend those habits, and begin to design who you want to be in the future.
